Before getting well it is necessary to understand how the human body gets ill.
The following ideas, amassed from research and study into many forms of complementary medicine, compile my understanding of health and disease.
Disease is caused by a combination of two things – TOXICITY & DEFICIENCY

Toxins are many and various. Trouble is rarely caused by a single toxin but an aggregate of toxins built up over the years, coupled with deficiencies. A broad category of toxins are:
ChemicalExternal e.g. insecticides, household cleaners, cosmetics, soap, toothpaste, food additives, drugs, vaccines, chemicals in water, air pollutants etc
Internal – made in the body e.g. excess adrenalin, hormones, dead cells etc
Hereditary / Genetic
Emotional – stress, worry, anxiety, anger, insult, grief etc
Perverse energy – electromagnetic, electricity, geopathic, radiation from computers, mobile phones, TV, x-ray, aeroplanes, power lines etc
Bacteria / Virus / Parasites / Fungi

Please remember that the journey to good health is a process. Getting well is not about taking or doing one thing. It involves a certain amount of commitment on your part.

It is not always easy but imagine how wonderful it would be to feel really well.

Start off by trying to change one of these at a time and see how after a while your body starts to enjoy the changes.

  1. Drink as much bottled / filtered water as you can; ideally up to 2 litres or 8 glasses a day.
  2. Eat as much organic products as you can, especially meat; dairy - milk, butter, yogurt; rice, pasta, pulses, vegetables and fruits. Most major supermarkets have excellent organic sections, or order  from specialist delivery outlets such as Able and Cole.
  3. Avoid all drinks containing caffeine - coffee, tea, fizzy drinks etc and replace these with bottled/filtered water, herbal teas, coffee substitutes. (Fruit juices have a high sugar content and should be limited).
  4. Reduce your intake of sugar - ready made meals, alcohol, jams, honey, cake, biscuits, fruit juices, fruit yogurts, chocolate etc
  5. Reduce your intake of gluten & wheat - cereal, bread, pasta, pizza, biscuits, cake, sauces, ready prepared meals. We tend to eat wheat at every meal, try replacing wheat based products with things made with oats, rice, barley and rye.
  6. Reduce / cut out all cow dairy (except yogurt) - cow based products are very difficult to digest . It encourages the formation of mucous and tends to aggravate upper respiratory, skin and digestive conditions. Change to Goats milk (impossible to find organic goats milk)or Rice milk.
  7. Replace refined foods such as white bread, white flour, white rice etc with rye bread, and brown rice and flour.
  8. Reduce / cut out salt from your diet and replace with fresh garlic, herbs and spices.
  9. Increase your consumption of nuts and seeds, they contain essential fatty acids which enhance brain function and healthy cellular detoxification. Sunflower seeds, Pumpkin seeds, Linseeds, Sesame seeds, Almonds, Walnuts, Brazil nuts, Cashew nuts etc. Buy these fresh and keep in the fridge as they go rancid easily in room temperature.
  10. Stop buying ready made food and cook your meals from scratch, you then know exactly what your food contains .You can be assured that you are doing your utmost to avoid unwanted artificial colourings, preservatives, salt and sugar.

FINALLY eat at least 5 pieces of fresh / lightly steamed vegetables or raw fruit.
